This award honors a project, program, or initiative that exemplifies innovation and forward-thinking in solving transportation challenges. The recognized effort showcases technical excellence, creative problem-solving, and meaningful community impact.
Criteria:
- Implementation of a unique or transformative transportation solution.
- Demonstrated success in improving mobility, safety, sustainability, or equity.
- Effective collaboration among multiple partners or agencies.
- Involvement of women in key leadership or technical roles.

2024 WTS San Antonio Region Innovative Transportation Solutions Award - TTI Youth Transportation Safety Program
WTS San Antonio Region proudly honors the Texas A&M Transportation Institute’s (TTI) Youth Transportation Safety (YTS) Program as the recipient of the 2024 Innovative Transportation Solutions Award.
The YTS Program is recognized for its creative and impactful approach to empowering the next generation of safe drivers and transportation advocates. By combining education, outreach, and data-driven research, the program engages youth across Texas and the nation to promote responsible driving behaviors and foster lifelong habits that improve roadway safety.
