Introducing the Details & Destinations Podcast
Today, I’m proud to share the launch of Detours & Destinations, the new podcast from WTS Toronto Area Chapter
What began as an idea to create another platform for connection, learning and storytelling within our transportation community has become a reality thanks to an incredible team of dedicated volunteers. Their creativity, collaboration and hard work brought this podcast to life in service of our members and the broader industry we care so deeply about.
At the WTS Toronto Area Chapter, we work to attract, sustain, connect and advance women’s careers to strengthen the transportation industry. Our vision is for equity and access for women in transportation, and our programs continue to help move that vision forward.
Detours & Destinations is an extension of that mission. Through thoughtful conversations with leaders, innovators and professionals across the sector, we hope this podcast creates a space for learning, inspiration and authentic dialogue about the future of our industry and the diverse journeys within it.
Early in my career, I volunteered with WTS to find community, inspiration, and role models in transportation. Hearing the stories of women leaders helped me see what was possible and gave me the confidence to pursue new opportunities. As President, I’m proud that this podcast will provide a platform for the voices and experiences that would have inspired me when I was starting out.
We hope this podcast becomes a valuable resource for our members at every stage of their careers, offering insights, perspectives and experiences that inform, encourage and strengthen professional growth. Whether listeners are entering the industry, navigating leadership opportunities or exploring emerging trends in transportation, these conversations are intended to foster connection and continued learning across our community.
Thank you to the many team members whose time, ideas, and energy made this possible. I am especially grateful to our podcast creators -Saloni Shah, Tara Erwin, Evelina Luczko, and Stephanie Laguan - who brought this vision to life.
