Honorary Members
Each year, the WTS Toronto Area Chapter has the opportunity to offer two honorary memberships. An honorary membership is an opportunity for chapters to attract key individuals who are not currently members of WTS and who have been identified by the chapter as key leaders in the local transportation industry.
We are pleased to introduce the following WTS Toronto Area Chapter Honorary Members for 2022:
Corina Moore
President & CEO - Ontario northland
Corina Moore is a transportation executive and authentic transformational leader. Recognized as an inspirational leader and catalyst for change, Corina is known for inspiring employees to achieve unprecedented results. She advocates for integrated transportation services that connect people and businesses, including Northeastern passenger rail connecting Toronto to the Far North and fostering strong partnerships with First Nations to provide transportation and employment. In 2014, Corina became the first woman President and CEO of Ontario Northland since its inception in 1902. In 2017, she was the first woman appointed to the Railway Association of Canada’s Board of Directors since its inception in 1917. Corina was also awarded “Canada’s Most Powerful CEO” (WXN “Top 100”) in 2021.
Jay Pitter
placemaker, author and Urban planning lecturer
Jay PItter is an award-winning placemaker whose practice mitigates growing divides in cities across North America. She spearheads institutional city-building projects specializing in public space design and policy, forgotten densities, mobility equity, gender-responsive design, inclusive public engagement and healing fraught sites. Among a diverse practice portfolio, Jay is honoured to be leading the development of The Cultural Districts Program Proposal and The Little Jamaica Master Plan for the City of Toronto–two precedent setting projects within her home city. Her forthcoming books, Black Public Joy and Where We Live, will be published by McClelland & Stewart, Penguin Random House Canada.
