Each year the WTS Greater Chicago Chapter honors exceptional young women as they pursue careers in the transportation industry. Our chapter offers six local scholarships for women seeking both undergraduate and graduate degrees. These scholarships include:

  • Sharon D. Banks Memorial Scholarship for Undergraduates ($3,000) - Click to apply
  • Molitoris Leadership Scholarship for Undergraduates ($2,000) - Click to apply
  • Helene M. Overly Memorial Scholarship for Graduates ($5,000) - Click to apply
  • Jannet Walker-Ford Leadership Legacy Scholarship for Graduates ($3,000) - Click to apply
  • Transportation YOU High School Scholarship ($1,000) - Click to apply
  • Junior College Scholarship ($1,000) - Click to apply
Chapter Scholarships


  • All female college students who currently attend school in Illinois, are enrolled in a school outside of Illinois and have a permanent Illinois address, or are enrolled in a school outside Illinois and have an internship in Illinois
  • All female high school seniors in local public and private high schools
  • All female high school seniors who plan to attend and college students who currently attend school at a local community college or trade school
