Each year the WTS Greater Chicago Chapter honors exceptional young women as they pursue careers in the transportation industry. Our chapter offers six local scholarships for women seeking both undergraduate and graduate degrees. These scholarships include:
- Sharon D. Banks Memorial Scholarship for Undergraduates ($3,000) - application period closed
- Molitoris Leadership Scholarship for Undergraduates ($2,000) - application period closed
- Helene M. Overly Memorial Scholarship for Graduates ($5,000) - application period closed
- Leadership Legacy Scholarship for Graduates ($3,000) - application period closed
- Transportation YOU High School Scholarship ($1,000) - Instructions/Application (pdf), Application (word), & Guardian Signature - deadline now March 17!
- Junior College Scholarship ($1,000) - Instructions/Application, Application (word), & Guardian Signature - deadline now March 17!

- President’s Scholarship
- Scholarships funded by our Executive Partners ($2,000) - application period closed
- Diversity in Transportation Scholarship - application period closed
Eligibility
- All female high school seniors in local public and private high schools
- All female college students who currently attend school in Illinois, enrolled in a school outside of Illinois and have a permanent Illinois address, or enrolled in a school outside Illinois and have an internship in Illinois
- All female high school seniors who plan to attend and college students who currently attend school at local community colleges and trade schools
