2026 WTS Delaware Student Scholarship (due 11/6/2026)

WTS Delaware is excited to announce its first annual scholarship! This $2,500 scholarship opportunity is sponsored by a WTS Delaware member to support the Chapter’s commitment to engage, educate, and inspire the next generation of transportation professionals. To qualify, applicants must submit the 2026 WTS Delaware Student Scholarship Google Form by the November 6, 2026 deadline. Applications will be reviewed and scored by the WTS Delaware Student Outreach Committee, with one scholarship recipient selected and notified November 16, 2026. The recipient and a plus one will be invited to attend the 2026 WTS Delaware End of Year Celebration on December 2, 2026, where they will be recognized by the Chapter for their accomplishments and commitment to the transportation industry.

Transportation-related fields of study include:

• Civil, Structural, or Transportation Engineering
• Urban and Regional Planning
• Transportation Policy, Planning, or Finance
• Logistics and Supply Chain Management
• Environmental Science (with transportation focus)
• Construction Management (with infrastructure focus)
• Public Administration (with transportation or infrastructure focus)
• Other fields with a demonstrated transportation career focus — subject to Committee review

2027 WTS Strategic Partner Scholarships (due 12/11/2026)

Six $5,000 scholarships are available through the WTS International Pinnacle and Strategic Level Corporate Partners for students currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in a transportation-related field. These scholarships support the development of students in the transportation field by encouraging bright new professionals and students to undertake careers in transportation. Winners of the 2027 Strategic Partner Scholarships will be notified in March 2027 and are invited as special guests to the WTS International Annual Conference to accept their scholarship on stage at the WTS Foundation Gala in Washington, DC in May 2027. Please visit the WTS International Strategic Partner Scholarships page to submit your individual application online by the December 11, 2026 deadline. *Note, these scholarships do not require WTS Delaware’s chapter-level involvement; applicants will submit directly through the WTS website.

2027 WTS Foundation Scholarships (due 1/6/2027)

WTS Foundation Scholarships are available to students pursuing careers in transportation through high school, junior college/trade school, and undergraduate/graduate programs. To qualify, applicants must submit the 2027 WTS Foundation Scholarships Google Form which will open in mid-December 2026 and close on January 6, 2027. The WTS Delaware Student Outreach Committee will review each application at the chapter-level and nominate one recipient per category to advance to WTS International for national consideration, with applicants being notified of their nomination status on January 11, 2027. Winners will be notified in March 2027 and will be announced at the WTS International Annual Conference in May 2027. These six scholarships are competitive and based on the applicant's specific transportation goals, academic record and transportation-related activities or job skills. Scholarship categories include:

1. Helene M. Overly Memorial Graduate Scholarship (10,000)
2. Erin Slayton Leadership Legacy Scholarship for Graduates ($5,000)
3. Molitoris Leadership Scholarship for Undergraduates ($5,000)
4. Sharon D. Banks Memorial Undergraduate Scholarship ($5,000)
5. Junior College/Trade School Scholarship ($2,500)
6. WTS Transportation YOU High School Scholarship ($2,500)
