Bridging the Gap Between Students & the Transportation Industry

In an effort to engage and connect with the next generation of transportation professionals, WTS Delaware’s Student Outreach Committee partners with student organizations within the University of Delaware’s College of Engineering, particularly those affiliated with the Department of Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering. While a formal WTS Delaware Student Chapter has not yet been established, the Chapter recognizes the importance of providing students with meaningful exposure to the transportation industry and opportunities to build relationships with transportation professionals. Through these partnerships, WTS Delaware has helped foster a collegiate community focused on advancing women in transportation by hosting semesterly on-campus workshops and engagement opportunities with students interested in transportation. These efforts provide students with valuable opportunities to learn about the industry, expand their professional networks, and explore pathways to careers in transportation.
