The NEIGHBORHOOD TRANSPORTATION PLANNER (PLANNER III) position will assist in the facilitation of neighborhood multimodal transportation projects focused on creating safe and complete streets as well as overall improvements of the transportation system for all users. A focus of the work will include updating the City’s Vision Zero Plan through a Safe Streets for All Federal Grant and working with neighborhood associations to develop the annual work program for the Sidewalk Master Plan implementation through significant outreach and coordination on locations prioritized through the Plan. Additionally, the position works closely with residents to identify transportation challenges and possible solutions, assists in the development of project concepts, small and large; and assists with partner agency project review and grant development.
