ProDev

The professional development committee aims to enhance the skills and knowledge of professionals by providing various programs that promote career advancement and industry learning. These initiatives include learning from accomplished leaders, training workshops and webinars, facilitating mentoring relationships, and connecting students with opportunities within the industry. The four branches of Professional Development are listed below.

Learn From A Leader

Hosted in the summer, Learn From A Leader is an impactful program designed to provide entry to mid-level professionals with unique opportunities to connect and to gain insights from accomplished leaders in the Transportation industry in relaxed settings. Through engaging round table discussions, panels, and workshops participants will learn directly from influential industry experts who have excelled in their careers. This program aims to inspire and motivate individuals by showcasing real-life success stories, while also offering practical advice and strategies for professional growth.

Mentoring Program

This year, the Chapter has revived its Mentoring Program to focus on collaboration partnerships geared towards building the future of Transportation. The aim of the program is to promote cross-collaboration in the industry by bringing together professionals from various regional organizations, foster meaningful relationships between mentors and protégés, and provide both entry and mid-year professionals with guidance and support outside of their existing networks. With this coalition of professionals, our mentors will speak to local and national transportation issues, share their lessons learned, and assist protégées in navigating challenges, goal setting, and career advancement. Through prescheduled events meetings and workshops the Mentoring Program encourages personal and career growth, while also promoting a culture of collaboration and learning within the industry. TECHnique

The TECHnique initiative is dedicated to facilitating technical seminars and tours that offer valuable professional development opportunities for individuals in the transportation industry. These events provide participants with the chance to earn both PDH (Professional Development Hours) and CMAA (Construction Management Association of America) continuing education credits. The focus of TECHnique is to educate professionals about major transportation projects and developments in the Philadelphia region. By attending these seminars and tours, participants gain insights into the latest advancements and best practices in the field. TECHnique is committed to promoting lifelong learning and ensuring that professionals stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and innovations.
