WTS-CT 36th ADA Anniversary Event
Join CTDOT, WTS CT, CT ITE, UConn T2 and the ADA Coalition of Connecticut as we celebrate 36 years of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)!
This interactive event moves beyond the classroom to show how accessibility improvements are taking shape in our communities. Hear from leaders at the state and local level on efforts to create more inclusive infrastructure. With opportunity to explore pedestrian facilities such as curb ramps and sidewalks firsthand, gaining insight into the everyday barriers faced by people with disabilities.

WTS-CT Membership Appreciation Essex Steam Train & Riverboat Excursion
We’re excited to invite you to a one of a kind WTS Connecticut Membership Appreciation Event—and this time, we’re taking the experience on the rails!
Connect at the Rusty Rail Tavern beforehand for an opportunity to network with colleagues and enjoy a relaxed pre-boarding gathering.
Following the social, we’ll board the train for a 2.5-hour scenic 12 mile, round-trip through the heart of the unspoiled Connecticut River Valley. Starting from the historic 1892 Essex Station, we will ride a vintage train to Deep River Landing, then transfer to a riverboat for a relaxing Connecticut River cruise.
This event is free for current WTS members. Space is limited, so we encourage you to register early to secure your seat! Due to limited capacity, any no-shows will be charged a $35 fee, which will be donated to support our WTS scholarship fundraising efforts.
