Breaking Boundaries

Join WTS-CT for a Book Club Discussion! The WTS CT Leadership Committee will host the first book club session of the year on July 8th at 5:30pm in West Hartford (location TBD)!!

Book: Breaking Boundaries: Unlocking Leadership Potential at Every Level

Authors: Robert D. Murphy & Stephen Zimmerman, PhD

Discussion Focus: Chapters 1–7

WTS-CT is giving away five free books to the first five people who register for the event—sign up today to secure your copy! A representative from the Leadership Committee will reach out to coordinate book pickup. 

You do not need to complete the full reading to attend! The discussion will be an open dialogue focused on general themes and topics from Chapters 1–7. Feel free to bring questions or highlights from the book—light supper refreshments will be provided. (Stay tuned—Part 2 will follow later this year.)

ADA 35th Anniversary Celebration Event

Join CTDOT, City of Waterbury, WTS Connecticut, ITE Connecticut, and the UConn T2 Center as we celebrate 35 years of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)!

This interactive, outdoor event moves beyond the classroom to spotlight how accessibility improvements are taking shape in our communities. Attendees will hear from leaders at the state, regional, and local levels on efforts to create more inclusive infrastructure.

Participants will have the opportunity to explore pedestrian facilities such as curb ramps and sidewalks firsthand, gaining insight into the everyday barriers faced by people with disabilities and how we can design better, together.

Participants are invited to enjoy light refreshments during the event.

In case of rain, the event will be held inside Waterbury City Hall, 235 Grand St, Waterbury, Ct 06702. Additional details to follow via email provided in registration.
