WTS-CT FORE THE FUTURE FUNDRAISING DRIVE

FORE the Future 2026

The WTS-CT Student Outreach and Scholarship Committee is holding a fundraiser at Lyman Orchards on Wednesday June 3rd from 5:30 - 6:30 pm all ticket proceeds benefit the WTS CT Scholarship Program fund!

There are two separate options to participate:

     -1 hour beginner golf clinic $50 (limited to 10 participants)

     -1 hour driving range $33 (limited to 15 participants)

Location: Lyman Orchards Golf Course, 70 Lyman Road, Middlefield, CT 06455

Date: Wednesday, June 3, 2026

Time:  5:30 pm - 6:30 pm Note: The clinic and driving range events are taking place at the same time so participants can choose to participate in one or the other.

Register by Friday May 29th. All participants will receive a snack provided by WTS CT and a WTS golf key chain!

 

WTS-CT ANNUAL SPRING OUTING

Spring Hike 2026

Join WTS CT for an outing on the Charter Oak Greenway in Bolton and Manchester. We are planning to welcome a mixed group of walkers, bicyclists, strollers if you want to bring a young one. The route will be an out and back trip beginning at the Bolton Commuter Lot heading west along a paved multi-use trail to a stop at Highland Park Market for a snack break. The trip is anticipated to take 3-4 hours and is approximately 6 miles total. Breaks are anticipated to be taken at points of interest along the route to take a drink and eat or take photos.

Time: Meet at 9:00 am and begin moving at 9:15 am to allow for some late arrivals.

Bathrooms: Please note that the commuter lot does not have bathroom facilities, but there is a portable toilet at the Bolton Notch State Park trailhead and a bathroom at a nearby Subway sandwich shop.

 

WTS-CT x HDR: 2026 Leadership Strengths Workshop Series

Clifton Strengths ® Discover Your Unique Strengths through the WTS-CT Leadership Strengths Workshop Series, presented in partnership with HDR. This two-part workshop series is designed to help participants identify and develop their top five leadership strengths through the CliftonStrengths® Assessment. 

The initial virtual informational webinar is open to anyone interested in learning more about the CliftonStrengths® Assessment Program. The second session is BY APPLICATION ONLY and will be limited to 30 selected participants. The selection process will be explained during this first session.

A light breakfast will be provided. Registrants who provide less than a 24-hour cancellation notice and don't attend the event will be charged a $20 "no-show" fee that will go toward the WTS CT scholarship fund.

 

WTS-CT 36th ADA Anniversary Event

Join CTDOT, WTS CT, CT ITE, UConn T2 and the ADA Coalition of Connecticut as we celebrate 36 years of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)!

This interactive event moves beyond the classroom to show how accessibility improvements are taking shape in our communities. Hear from leaders at the state and local level on efforts to create more inclusive infrastructure. With opportunity to explore pedestrian facilities such as curb ramps and sidewalks firsthand, gaining insight into the everyday barriers faced by people with disabilities.
