Scholarship Eligibility
The WTS Southwest Ontario Chapter Scholarship is open to any student who meets the following criteria:
- Is registered full-time at a post-secondary institution in the Kitchener/Waterloo/Guelph, London, Windsor, Hamilton areas. See full list of eligible post-secondary schools below.
- Is pursuing a degree or diploma which will lead to a career focused on transportation, such as: architecture, engineering (all disciplines), mathematics, geography, political science, policy, economics, finance, planning, environmental science, communications, and more. (programs not listed may qualify if the student can provide an explanation of how their studies will lead to a career in transportation).
- Has a demonstrable interest in promoting the advancement of gender diversity within the transportation industry.
- Demonstrates strong academic performance
- Is a registered member with WTS SW Ontario Chapter (memberships are free for students)
- Is a woman or woman-identifying individual
Past WTS Toronto Area Chapter or Canadian Education Fund (CEF) Scholarship award recipients are not eligible for the WTS Southwest Ontario Scholarship.
Eligible post-secondary schools include:
- Conestoga College
- Fanshaw College
- Mohawk College
- Six Nations Polytechnic
- McMaster University
- St. Clair College
- University of Guelph
- University of Waterloo
- University of Windsor
- Western University
- Wilfrid Laurier University
The application process for the 2025 WTS Southwest Ontario Scholarship will open May 1, 2025.
