Chapter Committees

We are an all volunteer organization.  The success of the chapter is directly related to the direct participation of our members. Committees offer a variety of options for members to get directly involved the SW Idaho chapter by sharing their special skills and talents.  Committees also provide a way for members to gain leadership skills and opportunities to take on leadership roles.

Membership Committee

This committee is responsible for setting annual goals for recruiting new members and retaining existing members.  For more information about joining the SW Idaho Chapter, or if you would like more information regarding the benefits of being a WTS member, contact Barb Brown

Programs and Events Committee

Communications Committee

We issue a newsletter to inform our members about topics of interest in the region and nationally.  This newsletter is a great opportunity to get to know WTS corporate and public partners and members through profiles.  The communication committee is also responsible for maintaining our website pages, social media, and marketing.  If you would like to assist on this committee, please contact Cassandra Smith

Scholarship Committee

The SW Idaho chapter initiated a scholarship committee and fundraising drive in 2011.  The Scholarship Committee is responsible for raising scholarship funds.  In addition to raising funds, the committee coordinates an annual Transportation Youth Academy to reach out and engage young people in our region so they can learn about and directly participate in a transportation project that is relevant to them.  If you would like to assist on this committee, please contact Sarah Rosa.

Transportation YOU Committee

The WTS SW Idaho TransportationYOU committee holds multiple events annually to engage young girls in STEM activities. To learn more about the Transportation YOU events and committee, please contact Laura Bond, P.E.
