WTS International acknowledges the many black women transportation professionals who have advanced the industry while enduring racial and gender bias in their careers. This month we celebrated the careers of four transportation pioneers: Carmen Turner, Willa Brown, Mae Jemison, and Sydney Barber.

This March, WTS is celebrating Women's History Month and International Women's Day with our #QuietChampions social media campaign and exclusive swag items. 

During Women's History Month, our Chapters and members will nominate women who have been quiet champions, balancing work and life throughout COVID. They'll share their stories on social media using #QuietChampions. One quiet champion will be selected and sent a WTS swag bag! Use #QuietChampions to help us thank a quiet champion. Chapters can utilize March campaign resources in MyWTS Communities.

"Meeting the Challenge" Webinar 
 

The 2021 International Women’s Day theme is “Let’s all choose to challenge.” A challenged world is an alert world. We can all choose to challenge and call out gender bias and inequality. We can all choose to seek out and celebrate women’s achievements. Collectively, we can all help create an inclusive world.  

From challenge comes change, so let’s all choose to challenge. The WTS Meeting the Challenge Webinar will feature 6 WTS Corporate Partners sharing how they have met the challenge in celebrating women’s achievements in their organizations, how they are supporting women in today’s world, and how they have adapted to COVID-19 and a virtual work environment as they work to better support women and families.
