Join WTS Puget Sound for an Art and Architecture Tour of the newly opened Sound Transit Federal Way Link Extension. Participants will ride the Link light rail with tour guides Ashley Long and Catherine Calvert from Sound Transit, Yuki Seda-Kane from Axiom, and Ben Swarner from Parsons.
The tour will begin with a brief project overview in the Rosa Parks Room at Union Station (705 Union Station, 1st Floor, Suite 100) before walking to the International District/Chinatown Link station to catch the 4:00pm southbound 1 Line train. The group will exit at Federal Way Downtown Station, Star Lake Station, and Kent Des Moines Station to hear about key project elements, lessons learned, and the successes of the 7.8-mile extension. Headsets will be provided to the tour participants to listen to the tour leads. The tour will conclude at the International District/Chinatown Link Station at approximately 6:30-6:45pm.
