2022 Event MC is WTS Indianapolis Advisory Board Member, Jennifer Pyrz of IndyGo!

Jennifer Pyrz, PE is Chief Development Officer at IndyGo, where she is responsible for the agency’s strategic planning, engineering and construction initiatives. Jennifer has more than 25 years of experience in the transportation industry. In her early years in the private sector, Jennifer was responsible for managing and providing technical analysis for a diverse range of projects including environmental studies, traffic forecasting, transit analyses, transportation plans, BRT construction, and architectural design. In April 2020, Jennifer took the leap to the public side and is now enjoying the opportunity to work on all transit all the time! Jennifer and her team are responsible for development of IndyGo’s three Bus Rapid Transit Lines, new East Campus Administrative, Operations Center and Maintenance Facility and other infrastructure projects, as well as the agency’s many planning initiatives in areas such as micro-mobility, transit-oriented development, and network planning. Jennifer received M.S. and B.S. degrees in civil engineering from Purdue University in 1995 and 1997 respectively. She serves on the Advisory Board for WTS of Greater Indianapolis, Board of Directors for Midtown Indy, and is a Past President of Indiana Institute of Transportation Engineers. We are excited to have a founding member of our chapter as an event MC for this upcoming event!

2022 Keynote is Monica Newhouse -Rodriquez of Newhouse & Associates!

Monica Newhouse - Rodriguez

Monica Newhouse-Rodriguez is a Senior Aviation Executive with more than 20 years of experience in both the private and public sectors of Aviation.

Monica currently serves as the Managing Principal of Newhouse and Associates, LLC, a woman-owned DBE-certified Airport Consulting firm, which provides a wide range of expertise and experience in airport planning; environmental planning; and capital programming and management.

Monica Newhouse-Rodriguez currently serves on the Airports Council International – North America (ACI-NA) Board of Directors and is the Immediate Past Chair of the World Business Partners/Associates Board of Directors for the same organization.  She also currently serves on ACI-NA’s US Policy Council. ACI-NA is the primary industry association for airports in the U.S. and Canada, and one of five worldwide regions.

Monica Newhouse-Rodriguez was appointed to the Ports of Indiana Commission by Gov. Eric J. Holcomb in Sept. 2017, and was reappointed in February of this year, which will be her second term through 2025.

Monica is currently providing support to a number of clients around the country including; Chicago O’Hare International Airport, Miami International Airport, Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, Dallas Love Airport, Houston Airport System, Tampa International Airport, Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport, and many others including Terre Haute Regional Airport here in Indiana. 

Monica experience includes serving as the Deputy Executive Director of the Burbank Bob Hope Airport. Mrs. Newhouse-Rodriguez has also served as the Assistant Director of Planning and Programming for the Houston Airport System overseeing a multi-billion-dollar capital improvement program.

Monica began her time at the Sacramento County Airport System as the Airport Noise Program Manager and later grew into a senior executive position overseeing both Airport Planning and Environmental Divisions.

Monica received her bachelor’s degree in aerospace and computer information systems from Middle Tennessee University and her MBA in information decision sciences from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Monica has extensive knowledge of federal and local agency coordination services, capital planning and programming, airport master planning and environmental planning. We are excited to hear more from Monica at our upcoming Gala and appreciate her being our keynote speaker for our chapter!
