WTS-STL Explores Downtown St. Louis on Urban Hike

What makes a city feel welcoming for everyone?

WTS Metropolitan St. Louis recently explored that question during an Urban Hike through Downtown St. Louis, where participants experienced the city from the perspectives of women, caregivers, children, and transit users.

Led by local planning professionals, the tour highlighted how thoughtful design, from walkable streets and transit access to safe crossings and inviting public spaces, shapes our everyday experience. Participants also learned about exciting regional initiatives, including Metro Transit improvements and the Brickline Greenway, while seeing downtown through a new lens.

A big thank you to our tour guides, speakers, and community partners who shared their expertise and helped spark meaningful conversations about creating a more connected, accessible, and welcoming Downtown St. Louis.

Big thanks to our Presenters!
