WTS International Bolsters Team With Three New Additions To Leadership

The staff additions and promotions highlight the growth of WTS and importance of its vision of equity and access in transportation.

Washington, DC (February 28, 2022)WTS International is pleased to welcome three new members to its Leadership Team. Joining the team as Director, Membership and Chapter Relations is Kia Davis. Ms. Davis comes to WTS with extensive experience in associations, including within membership, chapter relations, development, and programming, with her more than nine years of experience at the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA). Davis will oversee the lifecycle of membership at WTS, including recruitment and retention while focusing on delivering exceptional membership benefits. In addition, Kia will oversee chapter relations, supporting chapter administration, region councils, and forming chapters.

Lauren Waldron joins WTS as Director, Communications and Programs. Ms. Waldron comes to WTS International from the City of Roanoke where she was the Communications and Community Engagement Manager. With previous experience leading marketing and communications at the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) and the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), Waldron brings extensive experience, knowledge of associations, and creativity to WTS. Overseeing the creation and implementation of WTS International’s communications and marketing strategy, Lauren will work to promote and communicate WTS’s offerings and tell the story of WTS’s efforts to advance its mission and vision. In addition, Ms. Waldron will support the WTS International programming, including education, training, professional development, and advocacy efforts.

Lindsay Shelton-Gross, Director, Public Relations and Strategic Initiatives, comes to WTS International from the Intelligent Transportation Society (ITS) America where she oversaw marketing and membership efforts for the association. Ms. Shelton-Gross is a seasoned association professional, leading and supporting a variety of activities, including membership engagement, business development, and communications. Shelton-Gross will lead public relations efforts for WTS International, including media and business relations and branding across the association. In addition, Lindsay will work to define, develop, and implement strategic initiatives that deliver benefits for members, partners, and stakeholders, and that fulfill the WTS vision of equity and access in the transportation sector.

In addition to the new hires, WTS International has promoted Tiffany Fisher to Engagement Specialist, Meetings & Events where she will support all WTS International events. Varsha Ravichandran, now Engagement Specialist, Communications and Marketing, will support the WTS marketing and communications efforts while focusing on key projects, like the MyWTS Communities and WTS Proshop. MeKayla Washington, Engagement Specialist, Membership and Chapter Relations, will support the membership and chapter relations efforts in supporting member and chapter growth initiatives.
