In a survey conducted by WTS International (WTS) in November, half of participants identified retaining and training labor to be one of their biggest challenges in the coming years. Developing our industry’s workforce and increasing its diversity will ensure a more equitable transportation industry.  

That’s why the WTS Foundation is committed to advancing women in transportation with a focus on attracting and retaining young people in the field. Each year the foundation provides scholarships to women pursuing careers in transportation. It also offers educational and career development opportunities to current and aspiring professionals. Through its partnerships, it initiates, sponsors and publishes research. These pieces come together to create the next generation of women in transportation.
