Women Leaders of DDOT

The WTS-DC Chapter had a wonderful event on Thursday, September 19th with women leaders from the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) on their career paths and new and exciting transportation projects in DC. Attendees heard from Sharon Kershbaum (Acting Director and Event Moderator), Yvonne Thelwell (Deputy Chief Engineer, Infrastructure Project Management Administration), Christine Mayeur (Interim Associate Director, Multimodal Safety Engineering Division), Carla Longshore (Associate Director, Transit Delivery Division) and Kanika Singh (Strategic Initiatives Manager, Transportation Safety Administration). The event was held at DDOT and included discussion on the panelists professional backgrounds and their stories of personal growth throughout their careers. A special thank you to Olivia Dedner, Laura MacNeil, Neelima Ghanta, and Regina Barnes at DDOT for helping with the logistics of the event!
