Spotlight on the WTS Philadelphia MarCom Committee
The WTS Philadelphia Marketing and Communications (MarCom) Committee plays a central role in supporting the chapter’s mission to advance women and transportation. Through strategic outreach and engaging content, the committee helps connect members and ensure WTS Philadelphia’s work is seen and heard across the region.
From promoting events and meetings to strengthening the chapter’s brand and message, the MarCom Committee leads a wide range of initiatives, including:

Meet the Committee
Director: Stacey Weiss, Communications Manager, Urban Engineers
Stacey is the Communications Manager at Urban Engineers, with more than ten years of experience supporting internal and external communications. Originally from Wales, United Kingdom, she moved to the Philadelphia area in 2008. Stacey enjoys traveling, running, and spending time with her family.
Co-Chair: Sophia Fox, Strategic Communications Coordinator, HDR
Sophia is a Strategic Communications Coordinator at HDR with over seven years of experience in supporting public outreach and engagement for transportation clients. Originally from Harrisburg, PA, Sophia has been a Philadelphia resident for five years and enjoys rooting for all Philly sports, trying new restaurants, and attempting to go on runs.
Co-Chair: Melissa Chapman, Structural Engineer, Jacobs
Melissa works for Jacobs and is a Structural Bridge Engineer with ten years of experience. She grew up in the suburbs outside of Philadelphia and is a graduate of Drexel University and Villanova University. In her free time, she likes to stay active by playing soccer, hiking, and snowboarding.
Committee Member: Danielle Eisenstock, Learning and Development Manager, Urban Engineers
Danielle is the Learning and Development Manager at Urban Engineers with more than a decade of experience creating and leading impactful learning strategies that enhance business performance and encourage employee development. Danielle is currently working towards completing her MBA and, in her free time, enjoys reading a good mystery novel and crossing off visits to national parks.
Committee Member: Danielle Schroeder, Senior Engineer, Huitt-Zollars, Inc.
Danielle is a Senior Engineer and Assistant Project Manager at Huitt Zollars in their transportation practice area. Outside of work, she enjoys staying active by playing tennis during the warmer months, snowboarding in the winter, and cheering on Philadelphia sports teams, especially the Eagles.
