Program Highlights: Reception Honoring Los Angeles County Supervisor Lindsey Horvath
On March 19, 2026, WTS Los Angeles convened members, partners, students, and transportation leaders in Downtown Los Angeles for a special evening honoring Los Angeles County Third District Supervisor Lindsey Horvath. Sponsored by Pinnacle Corporate Partner HNTB and hosted at Perch, Bar Thirteen, the reception brought together approximately 45 attendees for an engaging program focused on leadership, public service, and the future of transportation in Los Angeles County.
Setting the Stage: Women's Leadership in County Government
WTS‑LA President Mahsa Pan, Harbor Engineer at the Port of Los Angeles, welcomed guests and opened the program by underscoring the significance of women’s leadership in public service. She highlighted the pivotal role of the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, which serves as both the executive and legislative body for the nation’s largest and most complex county government. Since 2020, women have held every seat on the Board, a historic milestone that remains in place today.
Spotlight on Supervisor Lindsey Horvath
Elected to the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors in November 2022 and assuming office in December 2022, Supervisor Lindsey Horvath brings a distinguished record of public service, including prior roles as a city councilmember and the longest‑serving mayor in West Hollywood. Throughout her career, she has been widely recognized for tackling complex challenges, championing equity, and delivering results for constituents.
In her address, Supervisor Horvath reflected on her journey in public service and the values that continue to guide her work. She discussed her role on the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority Board and shared perspectives on transportation and mobility issues shaping the region’s future, including the importance of partnering with industry to deliver ambitious capital programs.
The program concluded with a lively audience Q&A, offering participants an opportunity to engage directly with Supervisor Horvath on leadership, service, and the challenges and opportunities ahead for Los Angeles County.
