Carla will provide an introduction to negotiations and take us through negotiations steps from start to finish.  The virtual workshop will host two breakout sessions and two role playing exercises.

We all encounter situations that require negotiation, whether at work, at home, or at recreation. A conflict of interests or opposing viewpoints between parties can be tricky, but a negotiation can happen when both sides search for solutions, rather than giving in or breaking-off contact.  In a successful negotiation, everyone wins. The objective should be agreement, not victory.

This workshop will focus on professional setting situations, from negotiating scope of work and budget with prospective clients to asking for a raise and promotion from an employer or discussing staffing and resources for your next project. All of these negotiations can be successful with the right planning and practice.
