LFAL August 2

On Tuesday, August 19, 2025, WTS Philadelphia hosted its final Learn From A Leader (LFAL) panel of the year, titled Breaking the Burnout Cycle: Thriving at Work Without Running on Empty. This sold-out event featured inspiring local leaders including: Erica Antoine, PE; Lindsey Graham Dixon, PMP, CMIT; Emily Addis, and Theresa Andrejack Loux, PhD, PE, ENV SP. Emerging Leader, Taylor Novitsky, EIT, served as the event’s moderator.

The panel touched on a range of topics that covered personal experiences, recovery journeys, support systems, and strategies. Each speaker shared instances they experienced burnout, highlighting key warning signs and recovery techniques. The conversation was both heartfelt and humorous, as each woman related to the audience and offered actionable advice for recognizing burnout and advocating for yourself and others.

The evening ended with a lively Q&A session, where attendees sought additional insights and guidance from the panelists.

We’re grateful to our panelists and moderator for their authenticity and generosity, and to Burns for their warm hospitality. If there’s a topic you’d love to see featured in a future LFAL event, please reach out to anyone on the Professional Development Committee.
