Los Angeles Metro’s LAX/Metro Transit Center is transforming how LA travels. This game-changing hub connects directly to LAX’s Automated People Mover, giving travelers and employees access to two light rail lines, a 16-bay bus plaza, and a bike hub—making car-free airport trips a reality. Designed to handle 45,000+ daily boardings and future expansion to the Sepulveda Line, it’s a catalyst for sustainable growth. 

Behind this innovative project are trailblazing women who shaped its success: 

• Debra Gerod (Partner-in-Charge) and Jill Wagner (Project Manager) led the design team. 
• Maya White-Turre (Project Architect), Brianne Overton and Huong Vu (Civil/Rail Engineers), Laura Mino (Structural Engineer) brought technical brilliance. 
• Teresa Sanchez, Gruen’s Director of Construction Administration Services, ensured dynamic oversight during construction.
