On Tuesday, May 12, 2026, WTS Philadelphia hosted a sold-out Learn From a Leader (LFAL) panel titled How to Network Effectively: Building Relationships that Matter. The evening featured an engaging panel of industry leaders including Christina Arlt, AICP; Leslie S. Richards; Kelly Freeman, AIA; and Mia Held, MCRP. Emerging Leader, Rachel Van Metre, AICP, served as the event’s moderator.

Panelists shared personal experiences and practical tips, noting that while networking can feel intimidating, it is something everyone experiences. They encouraged starting with small, genuine interactions, and following your curiosity, showing that even informal or imperfect moments can lead to meaningful professional connections.
