On October 9, 2025, transportation professionals gathered aboard The Moshulu in Philadelphia for a joint networking breakfast hosted by the WTS Philadelphia and WTS New Jersey Chapters. The event brought together engineers, planners, and public agency leaders to explore the planning, design, and maintenance efforts that keep the region’s vital bridge network safe and reliable.

Attendees gained valuable insights from two leaders representing organizations that keep the region moving across the Delaware River. Kevin Skeels, PE, Chief Engineer for the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission (DRJTBC), and Mike Venuto, PE, PLS, Chief Engineer for the Delaware River Port Authority (DRPA), shared updates on upcoming bridge improvement projects and long-term investment programs on both sides of the river.

The conversation, moderated by Ariella Maron, Executive Director of the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC), highlighted how ongoing investment in bridges strengthens and shapes the future of transportation in the region.
