WTS Houston is now seeking nominations for the 2025 Recognition Awards. Members may submit award nominations for any or all the award categories. This is a great way to honor those who support WTS and the advancement of women and to heighten awareness of the importance of WTS in the transportation community. All nomination forms are available in the Documents page of the WTS Houston chapter website.

 The individual awards include the following:

• Member of the Year: Recognizes a WTS member who has made extraordinary contributions to the success of the organization.
• Woman of the Year: Honors a woman who is an outstanding role model and has contributed to the advancement of women and minorities in transportation.
• Honorable Ray LaHood (Man of the Year) Award: Honors a man who is a leader in the transportation industry and has contributed to the advancement of women and minorities.
• Employer of the Year: Recognizes an organization for recruiting, retaining, and advancing women.
• Rosa Parks Diversity Leadership Award: Honors an individual(s) or organization(s) that has made significant contributions in promoting diversity and cultural awareness within their organization, the transportation industry, or in a project or activity that supports the goals and mission of WTS.
• Innovative Transportation Solutions Award: Honors an innovative transportation project led by a woman.

 The awards will be presented at our Annual Scholarship and Awards Gala.

All winners of the WTS Houston chapter awards will be nominated for the 2025 WTS International Recognition Awards which will be presented at the WTS International Conference in May 2026.

Complete nomination forms must be emailed to [email protected] with a subject line titled "2025 Recognition Award". All nominations must be completed and returned by Friday, December 12, 2025.
