WTS-Boston is proud to announce that Victoria Palek, Vice President/Operations Director at Arcadis, has been selected as the recipient of the 2025 Member of the Year Award. This prestigious honor recognizes a WTS member who demonstrates extraordinary commitment to the goals and growth of WTS by promoting the organization's reputation within the transportation industry and revitalizing or expanding a WTS Chapter or any of its functions.

Victoria is a passionate advocate for the advancement of women in transportation. Over the past 10 years she has consistently made meaningful contributions to the WTS organization and our industry.  Through her tireless efforts as a volunteer, she has worked to revitalize and improve existing processes in our local chapter. Her efforts to attract new members and sponsors and engage with existing ones have been instrumental in increasing the visibility and impact of WTS.

Victoria’s commitment to WTS and its mission has resulted in the largest and most well-attended events in the history of WTS-Boston.  In 2024, Victoria oversaw the three highest attended events of the year: the New Year's Reception, the June Awards and Scholarship Banquet, and the Leadership Event. For all these events, she was instrumental in managing the venue details, invitations, registration, and day-of coordination.

Currently, Victoria serves as Member-at-Large for WTS Boston’s Advisory Board and as a Member of the WTS International Chapter Operations Task Force. Her previous roles within the Chapter have included Director at Large, Co-Chair of Special Projects and Scholarships & Awards Committees, and Member of the Membership Committee. She played an integral role in planning the 2019 WTS International Conference held in Boston, serving as Co-Chair of the Poster Session for the event. Victoria completed the 2022 WTS International Executive Leadership Training and now serves as a Mentor in the 2025 WTS-Boston Formal Mentoring Program.

At Arcadis, Victoria leads the Mobility Business in the six New England states and Florida. Her extensive experience spans a diverse portfolio of construction projects across multiple industries in the transportation sector, including aviation, rail/transit, and highway. Her empathetic leadership style helps foster a supportive and inclusive environment for all.

In recognition of her professional achievements, Victoria was named one of the Engineering News-Record (ENR) New England’s Top Young Professionals in 2023.

WTS-Boston congratulates Victoria Palek on this well-deserved recognition and celebrates her invaluable contributions to the advancement of women in transportation and her exceptional contributions to WTS.
