More information about the upcoming Lunch n' Learn: There have been significant advancements in intersection design with modern roundabouts being front and center. While roundabouts are not new, even to the state, they are often misunderstood by the public. This presentation will go over the difference between a roundabout and its predecessors, history, benefits, and the various unique applications for roundabouts.
Meet our presenter: Steve Babalis, a Greenman Pedersen, Inc. (GPI) Safety and Mobility Team Leader, will present on modern roundabout intersections. Steve has over 17 years of experience as a transportation engineer working on a variety of roadway projects. Steve has varied experience ranging from traffic and highway engineering with a specialization in project development and operates as a subject matter expert for roundabout design within GPI.
