Join CTDOT, WTS CT, CT ITE, UConn T2 and the ADA Coalition of Connecticut as we celebrate 36 years of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)!

This interactive event moves beyond the classroom to show how accessibility improvements are taking shape in our communities. Hear from leaders at the state and local level on efforts to create more inclusive infrastructure. With opportunity to explore pedestrian facilities such as curb ramps and sidewalks firsthand, gaining insight into the everyday barriers faced by people with disabilities.

 Who should attend?

This event will be relevant to transportation planners and designers, transit agency representatives, construction and maintenance personnel, officials who issue building and utility permits, and local agency decision-makers.

 This event will be covering ADA Title II requirements within the public right-of-way and feature speakers who will share their insights on ADA compliance, initiatives, and the future of accessibility from the federal, state and local levels. This event is a great opportunity to gather in person and see different exhibits and activities from individuals sharing their expertise of ADA.
