WTS-Boston September Luncheon: “Conversations with Undersecretary Samantha Silverberg”

Undersecretary Samantha Silverberg
Samantha Silverberg is the Undersecretary of Transportation Policy at the Massachusetts Department of Transportation, where she oversees policy development and implementation at MassDOT to deliver a safe, reliable and efficient transportation system that works for all users. She also manages the agency's planning, performance management, and innovation teams and works closely with the MassDOT and MBTA leadership teams on special projects. Silverberg was a senior transportation official throughout the Biden Administration, where she served as the President's primary advisor on transportation and infrastructure policy and was responsible for designing, negotiating, and implementing the signature bipartisan infrastructure law, deploying over $600 billion across transportation, water, high-speed internet, clean energy, resilience, and other sectors. Prior to joining the Biden Administration, she served as Senior Director of Capital Program Planning and then Deputy Chief Administrative Officer at the MBTA. She began her public service as a Presidential Management Fellow at the White House Office of Management and Budget and U.S. Department of Transportation. She currently lives in Newton with her husband and two sons and is a regular Green Line rider.
The event will be held at the Wyndham Boston Beacon Hill Hotel on Wednesday, September 23, 2026. Check-in starts at 11:30 AM and the program will begin promptly at 12:00 PM.
