WTS-Boston October Luncheon Seminar: “Logan Airport Remote Terminal at Framingham”
The Logan Airport Remote Terminal at Framingham is a first-in-the-nation pilot that allows passengers to complete check-in, baggage drop, and security screening closer to home before traveling to Logan Airport. The project supports Massport's strategic goals of increasing high-occupancy vehicle use, reducing airport curbside congestion and emissions, and improving the passenger experience. What makes the project especially noteworthy is the team's ability to deliver a first-of-its-kind facility on an accelerated schedule, transforming an existing overflow parking lot into a fully operational remote terminal in less than six months. Through an innovative prefabricated modular construction approach, creative site solutions, and close collaboration among designers, contractors, TSA, and Massport, the team successfully adapted to evolving program requirements while maintaining the project's opening deadline. Although conceived as a temporary pilot, the facility was designed and constructed to provide the quality, comfort, and functionality of a permanent terminal, helping build public confidence in a new and innovative way to travel to Logan Airport.
Elizabeth Yusem
Elizabeth Yusem has a range of experience in all phases of design with expertise as a strategic design planner. At the urban planning level, she has activated political stakeholder engagement and design thinking to successfully advocate master planning initiatives in the public and private realm. To compliment these skills, Elizabeth has over 20 years of experience of experience in architecture and project management and has been involved in all levels of the design and construction process. At Massport as a Project Manager, Elizabeth has worked on a variety of projects including Hanscom Terminal Building Upgrades, AARF Fire Station Improvements, Logan Express Remote Terminal At Framingham, and the Braintree Logan Express Garage and Remote Terminal.
The event will be held at the Wyndham Boston Beacon Hill Hotel on Wednesday, October 21, 2026. Check-in starts at 11:30 AM and the program will begin at 12:00 PM.

By transit: The Hotel is a 5 minute walk from Charles/MGH Station (Red Line), a 7 minute walk from the Bowdoin Station (Blue Line), a 10 minute walk from North Station (Commuter Rail, Orange Line, Green Line - B, C, D, E), and a 10 minute walk from Government Center (Blue Line, Green Line - B, C, D, E)
By car: Self-parking is available in the Charles River Plaza Parking Garage adjacent to the hotel, Parkman Street Garage, 4 Emerson Place Garage, and 60 Staniford Street Garage.
