The US Air Force Academy Visitor Center design is based on the F-117 stealth fighter wing, and is evocative of 4 jet aircraft taking off. The building will consist of 34,700 square feet with a welcome center, exhibit hall, interactive kiosks, multi-purpose meeting rooms, offices, retail space and storage. A 15,000 square foot outdoor space called “Polaris Plaza” will also be constructed.
Additional construction on the total 36-acre site in the future will include a hotel, retail space and office space. This site is just off I-25 across.
