Call for Volunteers!
The Virginia Technology Student Association (TSA) is in need of a few volunteers to help judge the structures competition at the upcoming Tidewater Regional Fair. This is a regional competition for middle and high school students that includes a wide variety of STEM topics including a structures competition, transportation-themed competition, robotics, etc. The Tidewater Regional Fair will be held Saturday, February 21st at Grassfield High School.
Judges will be provided with specifications and rules that the students followed to build their projects. This yearer there are 2 options for judging: virtually or in-person. To check how each event will be judged, click the addendum in the button below.
They will measure, test, and electronically record results for the competition. Judging usually takes a few hours (8 am - 12 pm) depending on the number of entries. In the past we have brought our own laptops. Lunch will be provided. Schools will provide all tools needed for testing.
Anyone interested in volunteering to be a structures judge, please contact Grace Shen at [email protected] to sign up.
