Gain insight into Hampton Roads transportation priorities and future initiatives from the district’s new engineer.

Join us for a special luncheon featuring Michael Davis, PE, CCM, Hampton Roads District Engineer for the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT). Mr. Davis will share insights into the leadership, planning, and delivery of the major transportation initiatives shaping Hampton Roads—including some of the largest infrastructure investments in Virginia’s history.

With nearly two decades of service at VDOT and more than 36 years in the transportation industry, Mr. Davis oversees planning, design, construction, maintenance, and operations across nearly 10,000 lane miles in southeastern Virginia. He leads a team of more than 860 professionals serving nine counties, 11 cities, and two islands, managing a complex network of bridges, tunnels, and Virginia’s only state-operated, 24-hour ferry system.

During this luncheon, Mr. Davis will highlight current and future priorities in the Hampton Roads District; major capital projects such as the Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel Expansion and the Express Lanes Network; and the challenges and opportunities facing transportation agencies in a fast-growing region. Attendees will gain valuable perspective on infrastructure delivery, regional mobility, and leadership within one of VDOT’s most dynamic districts.

Registration and networking will begin at 11:30 am, with the program starting at 12 noon. Location: James River Conference Room A
