Ask The Expert: A Look Back at Rebuild Illinois on November 17th

Join us November 17th from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm as we chat with Holly Bienemen, Director of IDOT’s Office of Planning and Programming about Rebuild Illinois.

In 2019, Illinois instituted Rebuild Illinois, the state’s current transportation capital program. Rebuild Illinois implemented multiple consequential policy changes and has invested more than $25 billion into Illinois’ roads and bridges. During this informational meeting, Holly Bienemen, Director of Planning and Programming at the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), will provide a retrospective of Rebuild Illinois — with a focus on its funding sources, programming approach, and impact on Illinois’ transportation policy landscape.

This event is an offshoot of the Policy & Legislative Affairs Committee’s Policy Chat series. These informal, virtual events are intended to give WTS members an accessible way to learn more about transportation policy topics, share insights from their sectors, and build stronger relationships with other transportation professionals. During the event, attendees will have the opportunity to learn from the speaker and discuss their questions and perspectives.
