Metra’s Office of Diversity & Business Enterprise is hosting a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Certification Webinar on Tuesday, July 26th at 11:00 am to provide minority- and women-owned businesses with the information required to certify as a DBE firm and extend their eligibility to do business with Metra, Chicago Transit Authority (CTA), PACE, Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), and the City of Chicago.
The virtual event will be hosted by Adriana Mena, DBE Certification Specialist II at Metra. She holds more than six years of Metra DBE Certification experience and is responsible for reviewing and analyzing DBE certification applications to ensure each file is in compliance with the United States Department of Transportation Federal Regulation 49 CFR, Subpart D and Part 26. Prior to joining Metra, Ms. Mena worked in various private and non-profit sectors assisting minority- and women-owned businesses receive grants for medical and educational needs. Ms. Mena holds a Bachelor of Science in International Business and Finance from Illinois State University and is a proud wife and mother of a wonderful toddler.
