Amanda Austin is a Transportation Engineer Supervisor overseeing the TxDOT Houston District Schematics section where she is responsible for over 50 active schematic projects across the District. She has 15 years’ experience in transportation engineering and has been with TxDOT for the last four years. Prior to her time with TxDOT, Amanda lived in Washington state where she worked for consultant firms on a variety of transportation projects. During this time, she spent over five years devoted to roundabouts – evaluation, design and construction. She is working to bring roundabouts into the discussion in her current role and looks forward to seeing an increase in roundabout implementation across Texas.
