Join the WTS DEI committee for a virtual lunch-and-learn led by the Islamic Resource Group (IRG) for an introduction to Islam and Muslim communities in Minnesota. With Ramadan beginning February 18, this presentation will share information about the holy month, as well as core Islamic practices and beliefs, basic terminology, demographics, and lived experiences of Muslims across the state. The presentation will be led by Tamim Saidi, a pharmacist and Muslim chaplain. He has substantial experience in interfaith community education, and he is a highly regarded leader within the Minnesota Muslim community.
