The WTS-Boston Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee invites you to join us for a discussion of the book She's Not There: A Life in Two Genders, by Jennifer Finney Boylan.

She's Not There is the memoir of a man named James who became a woman named Jenny.  Boylan takes us deep inside her thoughts and feelings as she goes through transition, as well as sharing how her relationships changed.  This is a remarkable story of what it is like to be born as the wrong gender.

This book offers an opportunity to expand awareness of diversity for employees and managers who may work with a trans person.  The author shares personal insights and experiences about being trans and the experience of changing genders in the workplace, so it could be illuminating to folks who are either going through something similar or work with someone who is going through something similar.

At WTS, creating a culture and community around inclusivity and belonging is one of our core values. We strive for an environment where each of our members feels welcomed to bring their full self to our organization.
