The WTS Colorado and Colorado/Wyoming ITE Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committees are hosting a workshop titled Ally is a “Verb” with Culture Energized on Thursday, Aug. 28. A virtual workshop will be offered from 9 to 11 a.m. and an in-person workshop will be hosted at the Galloway offices from 3 to 5 p.m. with happy hour to follow.
In this introductory training, we will explore the difference between performative allyship and authentic allyship on the interpersonal and organizational levels. We will explore the do’s & don’ts of allyship, the difference between equity and equality, and use intersectionality as a powerful lens to seek gaps in current practices and interactions. This training will provide concrete and actionable tools to empower employees and leaders to advocate for themselves and others.
