Girls in Transportation

Workshop

WEDNESDAY, OCT. 12TH 9 AM - 3PM

LIBBIE MILL LIBRARY - HENRICO, VA

 

The Central VA Chapter of the Women's Transportation Seminar (WTS) will be hosting a FREE Girls in Transportation (GIT) Workshop on Wednesday, October 12th from 9 AM - 3 PM. This hands-on workshop is catered to girls currently in Middle School (6th - 8th Grade) and will introduce students to an array of careers and projects throughout the Commonwealth.

This event will be an in-person workshop held at the Libbie Mill Library in Henrico, VA. Transportation to and from the event must be provided by the student, but certificates will be provided for all attendees as an excused absence.

PennDOT Moving Forward with STEM

 T-STEM Webinar Series

In the fall of 2021, the National Network for the Transportation Workforce (NNTW) hosted two Transportation STEM webinars focused on student career pathways that lead to employment as a transportation industry professional. Presented to students and faculty of K-12 institutions, these webinars offer academic and career-path perspective from diverse panels of community college, technical school, and university students, with the goal of engaging the audience around the possibilities and opportunities that a career in the transportation sector can offer.
