The Central VA Chapter of the Women's Transportation Seminar (WTS) will be hosting FREE webinar panel events throughout the 2023-2024 school calendar. These webinars are catered to women in grades 6-12, but all interested attendees are welcome to participate. The focus of this webinar series is to highlight a project or person within the Commonwealth of Virginia, or offer resources to students interested in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math).
Each webinar will be held from 3:30 - 4:30 PM (EST) via our Zoom virtual platform, unless otherwise stated.

Virginia Space: Exploring Beyond

Join us as we discuss the Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport (MARS) and the Balloon Program with NASA Wallops Flight Facility. We will talk about the different opportunities available to students and the wonderful uniqueness of Virginia's space programs.
This webinar will be a live event only, a recording will not be provided following this event. If you wish to participate, please make sure to register for this event. Introduction to Engineering Panel

Join our webinar panel event featuring current female college students from Virginia Tech, University of Virginia, Old Dominion University, George Mason University and Virginia Commonwealth University! This panel will address topics related to transitioning from high school to college, organizations related to Engineering fields, and an open forum for specific questions to our panelists as we celebrate Introduce A Girl to Engineering Day during Engineer's Week.
Our webinar will be held via our Zoom virtual platform. This webinar is catered to female students that are currently in high school, and interested in pursuing an education in Engineering. Richmond 300: Understanding Long-Term Planning

NextUp RVA is a nonprofit organization helping youth discover their talents and build positive relationships. It does this by managing a strong system of accessible out-of-school time programs delivered in schools and across the city. When youth participate in quality out-of-school time programs, they learn new skills, find out what they are good at, gain confidence and are engaged learners.
