AECOM Women in Aviation Make Their Mark

At AECOM, our support and delivery of capital programs at Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) and the Northeast Philadelphia Airport (PNE) and across the surrounding region highlights our dedication to the world of aviation. The women in leadership of AECOM's aviation group demonstrate our commitment to WTS principles of diversity and inclusion across the transportation industry.

Working from our aviation "Center of Excellence” in Center City, we have partnered with the City of Philadelphia for more than three decades providing a broad range of aviation consulting services – planning, design, architecture, environmental, and program and construction management. Women at all career levels play central roles in project delivery.

Our colleagues, Linell Olecki, AAAE, CM, Dana Heffernan, P.E., and Catherine Federico, P.E., epitomize the importance of WTS Philadelphia for professionals at all career levels as we continue to advance work at PHL, PNE, and other airports.

A member of WTS Philadelphia for more than a decade, our Northeast aviation market leader, Linell Olecki has more than 17 years of experience. Linell provides strategic direction regionally and collaborates nationally and globally.

An aviation operations and project manager, Dana Heffernan, has experience with all facets of the design process and has overseen numerous aviation projects. She’s worked with the City providing on-call civil engineering as well as program and construction management consulting services for major projects including baggage handling systems improvements, facilities improvements, corporate hangar development, airline relocations, and airfield rehabilitation.

Catherine Federico is an aviation engineering department manager and senior project manager with comprehensive engineering design experience on airside engineering projects. Her work encompasses airside and landside programs such as PHL’s pavement and grounds facility.
