Infrastructure that Connects
WSP has long led the transportation and infrastructure sector in bringing inclusive principles to traditional design and engineering practices. From feasibility studies to infrastructure engineering and urban design, WSP works with clients to navigate project complexities and deliver solutions that benefit everyone. Our iterative and integrated approach focuses on evidence-based, achievable outcomes for clients and their communities by pairing our technical expertise with collaborative engagement. Whether remediating existing infrastructure or designing new urban landscapes, our projects must improve the communities they serve.
WSP leads the Chinatown Stitch Project: Reconnecting the Philadelphia Chinatown Community team. The project includes a new bridge spanning a portion of the Vine Street Expressway, allowing for a park, more open space and new vibrancy within the Chinatown neighborhood. Through planning and outreach, we aligned with the community’s priorities and objectives, and the project’s early design efforts continually remind us that the project must benefit the people closest to it. We are thinking big and acting locally, considering every aspect of the project as an opportunity to catalyze the community’s vision and energize a reconnected Chinatown.
