On Wednesday, June 16th, our Lehigh Valley Annex hosted this virtual presentation, featuring AJ Jordon, Planning and Scheduling Department Manager, and Molly Wood, Land Use Planner/Specialist, from Lehigh and Northampton Transportation Authority (LANTA).

AJ Jordan oversees long-term planning efforts, data analysis, regional project coordination, bus stop management and bus operating schedules. Molly Wood carries out their transit supportive land use outreach agenda and initiatives, promoting such land use practices and standards in the forefront of site design planning to accommodate for transit service and safe pedestrian connectivity with any new or future development occurring in the Lehigh Valley.

The duo presented on what LANTA is doing to address those changing needs. We heard about LANTA's Enhanced Bus Service (EBS) plan, Transit Supportive Land Use Outreach, and their Comprehensive Operational Analysis (COA) to establish efficient routing connecting destinations throughout LANTA's service area. We heard about how their efforts are interconnected through public-private partnerships to activate the overall vision for the future of transit for this growing region, and apply these methods in your own communities.

Over 70 attendees tuned in to listen to the presentation that was followed by an engaging Q & A session. LV Annex is looking forward to partnering with LANTA on future presentations!
