Jannet Walker-Ford is a nationally recognized consulting and infrastructure executive with WSP USA, a leading engineering and professional services consultancy. A key member of the WSP’s executive leadership team, she serves as Business Line Executive for the firm’s US Advisory and Planning business, the premier executive partner and strategic advisor for infrastructure organizations, delivering innovative, future-ready solutions that create lasting value and resilience in the communities served by WSP. Ms. Walker-Ford has held executive leadership roles at several private international companies and was the Deputy General Manager/Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Chief Information Officer at the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority. She is also a distinguished advocate for equity in transportation and the power of infrastructure systems to transform communities.
As the Executive for WSP USA Advisory and Planning Business Line, she leads a national team of experts who collaborate with clients to transform vision into reality, leveraging expertise in strategic planning, management consulting, economics, finance, grants, digital, asset management, program development, business transformation and public engagement to deliver impactful, sustainable outcomes. She maintains deep, effective relationships with clients and continues to serve as a C-suite advisor to industry and client leaders across the country on major initiatives and transformative programs. With a tireless focus on equity, sustainability and community building she has served in executive leadership and strategic advisor roles on ground-breaking programs and projects for large infrastructure and transportation agencies across the U.S.
Ms. Walker-Ford serves on multiple boards, including as Chair of Keolis North America Inc. and Immediate Past Chair of the Board of Directors of WTS International. She is also a board member of NFI, the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) Executive Committee, the ENO Center for Transportation, and the Jacksonville University Board of Trustees. She has received numerous recognitions for her leadership, including the 2024 Inaugural WTSI Jannet Walker-Ford Breaking Barriers Award, a 2023 Women in Rail, 2022 APTA Business Member of the Year; 2021 WTS Northeast Florida Woman of the Year; 2019 Women of Color STEM Technology All-Star Award; 2019 Transportation Diversity Council/Massachusetts Institute of Technology Award for Services to the Transportation Industry; and she is a 2019 Conference of Minority Transportation Officials’ Women Who Move the Nation honoree. Ms. Walker-Ford holds a Bachelor of Arts in Management Information Systems from the University of Memphis and a Master of Science in Business from the University of Central Michigan and has completed significant coursework towards a PhD in Information Systems from Nova Southeastern University.
