This panel discussion and Q&A will explore how the project team is revitalizing 16th Street from Market Street to Broadway, not only with upgraded infrastructure, but also with a bold vision for public life.
From nearly one million hand-laid granite pavers to an expanded tree canopy supported by innovative soil technology, the new design prioritizes safety, flexibility and accessibility, while supporting economic vitality and community use.
Panelists will share how they approached this complex, multi-year project, including navigating the NEPA process, engaging the community through the Mall Champions stakeholder group and ADA community outreach and supporting businesses throughout construction.
Learn how community input, constant adaptation and a focus on social infrastructure helped shape a space designed to serve as “Denver’s living room,” a vibrant, inclusive third place where people come to gather, relax, socialize and experience downtown.
