🚗🗺️ Hit the Road and Discover Idaho History This Summer! 🗺️🚗
Did you know Idaho’s Historical Highway Marker Program has been sharing stories from across the state since 1956? Through a partnership between the Idaho Transportation Department and the Idaho State Historical Society, these markers highlight the people, places, and events that shaped Idaho. More than 100 new markers were added during the 1990 centennial, the program was revitalized again in 2021, and now—thanks to a $3.2 million federal grant awarded in 2022—the program is growing even more with an interactive app designed to inspire exploration, rural tourism, and overnight adventures throughout Idaho. Take a look!
