Speakers: 
Kristin Haar, Iowa DOT Public Transit Director, Public Transit in Iowa - Kristin serves as the public transit director, directing and coordinating the work of the public transit team. Kristin is a member of the National RTAP Review Board and serves on the AASHTO MTAP Steering Committee. Kristin joined the Iowa DOT’s public transit team in February 2010 as the compliance and training officer. Prior to joining the Iowa DOT, Kristin was the executive director of the Heart of Iowa Regional Transit Agency and also worked as a transportation planner at the Des Moines Area Metropolitan Planning Organization. Kristin holds a bachelor's degree in community and regional planning from Iowa State University and a master's degree in public administration from Drake University.

Barbara Neal, CyRide (Ames) Director of Transit - Barbara Neal has been working at CyRide for 32 years serving as the Director and previously the Assistant Director for Fleet. CyRide is part of the Rail, Bus & Taxi industry, and located in Ames, Iowa.

Amy Fortenbacher, MuscaBus (Muscatine) Transit Supervisor - Amy has served as supervisor of the Muscabus transit system in Muscatine, Iowa, for the past 5 years.

Julia Castillo, HIRTA Executive Director - Julia Castillo has served as Executive Director of the Heart of Iowa Regional Transit Agency (HIRTA) since 2010 and currently serves as the President of the Iowa Public Transit Association, Secretary of The Bus Coalition and is the Iowa delegate for CTAA. She previously served on the National RTAP Board until 2021, and was also named 2019 CTAA Community Transportation Manager of the Year. She’s had a diverse work background in both the private and public sector, however public transit, is where she is able to make the greatest impact for rural Public Transit and on the livelihood of those who live in the 7-county HIRTA region in central Iowa.
