Years of WTS Membership: I joined WTS at the Iowa kick-off event in 2019.
What is your favorite part of your job? I love working with college students and seeing how our degree can propel them into wonderful opportunities.
As you look ahead into 2021, what’s something you’d like to accomplish (personally or professionally)? We are in the process of revamping our CET program to make this education more available to anyone who wants it. We’re going from traditional face to face classes to an almost entirely online program. This revised program will roll out in the fall of 2021. Between now and then we have a lot of work to do!
Why did you join WTS? To support other women in transportation, and have the opportunity to attend WTS events. Hopefully we can all do that in person again soon
What piece of advice do you wish you had received when you just started your career? Your education never ends.
If you could travel anywhere in the world where would you go and why? I’ve been fortunate to travel all over the world. We lived in Japan when my husband was in the Navy and during those years traveled to many locations in Asia and Australia. Recently we’ve travelled to Europe every summer, as well as to many locations in the U.S. On my bucket list is a cruise to Antarctica, for the view and the adventure.
