WTS-I Chapter Leadership Development Training

On November 18-19, 2021, WTS-I held its annual leadership training virtually due to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. The training was valuable and productive for all who attended. I was lucky enough to attend the training for a second year. The training strikes a great balance between hearing from inspirational leaders and providing practical tips for how to run a chapter in these unprecedented times. I also enjoyed the breakout rooms and the chance to network with fellow WTS chapter leaders from across the country. I found the session on fundraising and sponsorship best practices particularly useful, as we need to pivot and reimagine partnership benefits in the context of virtual events, at least for the next few months. Finding value to provide to our corporate partners as well as our members is critical - I think our chapter has done well on that front, but it's always good to hear some core principles.
